Just past the halfway point in football season. My Chiefs pulled one out last week in the last 5 seconds, but can't beat the Buffalo Bills. Sad. Dallas plays Philadelphia tomorrow night. I heard Jimmy Johnson say that the Cowboys would be in the Super Bowl this year. That's a nice prediction to hear and I'd love to see it happen. I think the Eagles are going to lose tomorrow.
There are some other interesting things happening around the NFL. I'm glad to see T.O. out. I believe that it takes a team to win and this guy doesn't know anything about teamwork. I don't care how talented he is, keep him benched for the season and see what kind of paycheck he gets next year. I'm betting it won't be a big one. Ricky Williams quit his team last year and hasn't done squat this year. I've read that others think he's not even a shadow of his former self. It's like he showed up just to get paid and keep out of further lawsuits.
The Patriots aren't winning like they used to. I know they are a great team, but the injuries have taken their toll this year. I'm sure they won't be down for long. The Eagles aren't winning like they did last year, either. I've never liked the Eagles and I can't say I'm sad about it. Indianapolis is still undefeated! That's a team I'd hoped to see win, just because I'm a Peyton Manning fan. The guy has talent and it's great to see his team winning. I didn't expect to see them undefeated, though. Could it be that after over 30 years we could see a second undefeated season? Should I have said that in case saying it out loud jinxes it? I'd love to see it happen!
Football is a fun sport to watch. I don't get to watch a lot of games since I try to avoid it when the girls are here. I will put on Dallas and KC on occasion. Brittany really talks like a Chiefs fan, but she really isn't that interested in watching the games. I think it's because she was born in KC and knows that I'm a fan. She even told me about a project she had in school to find articles in newspapers and do something with them. She used an article about the Chiefs in that project. She also enjoys playing our version of touch football in the yard. I am so proud of her! :) She's my football princess! Paige likes to play, too. I hope to teach them what I know about the game just so they have the opportunity to decide for themselves if they like it. Girls tend not to like football for several reasons and since I'm not an over-enthusiatic fan, I hope they give it a chance. Go Cowboys and Chiefs!!
