Weekend Cookout

I've been fortunate to have met and gotten to know some really good people in the last year in the church I attend. I had my church softball team over last Saturday and we had a great time. I planned it to coincicde with a weekend that my girls were here so they could play with the kids from the church, too. We had a grill brought over and we filled up a picnic table and a couple of card tables with food. There were brats, burgers, hot dogs, carrot cake, German chocolate cake, brownies, and more. We played some volleyball and just goofed off until dark. My kids had a blast and were very helpful in getting things ready and assisting in the cleanup. I'm hoping to do this again sometime.

I do have an update on the Bon Jovi CD. The song Unbreakable, which I really like, is not on the US release. Apparently, the store version has 13 tracks and the one I heard has 15. The 13th track on the US release is a countrified duet version of Who Says You Can't Go Home, which is track 4, I believe. That duet is not on the one I heard, which means I've heard 3 tracks that aren't on the US release. The songs Dirty Little Secret, Unbreakable, and These Open Arms are not on the US release. They are great songs and I recommend tracking them down. Any one of these tracks could replace the songs Bells Of Freedom and Wildflower to make the US release stronger. Sometimes we never know why record companies make the decisions they do.

Tonight is the Billy Idol show. This is going to be a great show and he has Steve Stevens playing guitar for him, so I will be hanging out for a while afterwards to do what I can to get some pictures!
